Every year at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School, students expresses their creativity through a play or a musical. In the past we have had Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, and A Christmas Story. This year, with Christmas approaching quickly, the students are doing A Christmas Carol, focusing on Scrooge and his past, present, and future. The cast has just been announced and Mr. Switala, director, answered a few questions about the cast, the crew, and the play.

Q. What days will the play be shown?  

Mr. Switala: “The performance dates are November 30, December 1, and December 2.”

Q. How many people auditioned?

Mr. Switala: “There were 26 students at audition.”

Q. Who is helping backstage? 

Mr. Switala: “Sign-ups for backstage help will be held next week.”  

Q. Why did you select this particular play?

 Mr. Switala: “I selected A Christmas Carol because it is a familiar play that most people know and the story is still relevant today.”

Q. What are some special highlights in the play that the students could look forward to?    

Mr. Switala: “Aaron Aycock’s portrayal of Ebeneezer Scrooge and Jace Kephart as the Ghost of Christmas Present.”

Q. What else would you like to tell students about this play?  

Mr. Switala: “Come and support your peers…just $5.00 tickets at the door.”
