Throughout the month of December, the English Department of the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School held a food drive competition for the Salvation Army to help feed local families in need.

The food drive was held to collect foods for families during the holidays. Some of these holiday items included stuffing mix, instant or canned potatoes, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, canned yams, gravy, crackers, chicken broth, and cake mixes along with pie ingredients.

The English Department thanks everyone who contributed to the holiday food collection for the Salvation Army. Thanks to you, hundreds of food items were shared with local families in need this holiday season.

Congratulations to Mrs. Moyer’s third period English Pre-AP class, which donated the most items and wins the pizza party. Runners-up were Mrs. Stibitz’s first period literature class and Mrs. Zimmerman’s first period English class.
