Band front dances in the stands.

Have you ever been interested in dancing but fear it is too late to take dance classes?

Band front is much like dancing without taking classes and learning “proper” steps. The band front marches in parades while twirling batons or silks (flags) and performs at football games twirling and dancing as well as dancing in the stands to cheer on their team.

Band front is also a way to meet new people, be a part of something, and learn about leadership and working with others. It allows people to express themselves in a way that is fun while still allowing some free time.

Most of the work done in band front is done during the summer and then less during the first couple months of the school year, so band front is a great extra-curricular activity for people who are busy throughout the school year.

Anyone entering Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in the 2019-2020 school year is eligible to try out. The date and location of tryouts this year have yet to be decided. However, when they are decided, they will most likely be announced on the morning announcements and on the Clearfield Music Facebook page.
