On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Clearfield Bison Cross Country team hosted Philipsburg- Osceola for a meet and to recognize the Bison seniors: Avry Grumblatt and Trevor Franek. Both Avry and Trevor have been a part of the cross-country team since their sophomore year. They are also key members of the track and field team in the spring.

Finishing their cross-country careers was a sad, but memorable moment. Avry stated: “I’m going to miss my team and working hard with them, but at the same time I am excited to start a new chapter in my life.” While Trevor said: “Cross country is one giant family to me, and I’m going to miss everyone a ton. With that being said, there are a lot of promising, younger runners and I can’t wait to see what they achieve.”

Coach Yingling also added: “Avry and Trevor are such great leaders as well as great athletes.  I have never coached a team without them, so they will definitely be missed next year.  They are the type of people who will go on to do great things and make our school proud.”
