Bison Football closes out regular season

Jason Plubell, Staff Writer

The Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School Varsity Football team has concluded the regular season with a successful 8-2 record. The team looks to make a deep run in the playoffs, as they have aspirations to win a district championship and enter the State Playoffs.

The team’s only two losses came to Bald Eagle and Bellefonte, but one of the wins was much different than the others. The Bison won their week 9 matchup against Philipsburg-Osceola due to a forfeit. P-O reported low numbers due to injury, and was ultimately forced to not only forfeit week 9, but the rest of their season. This forfeit win also became a major milestone for the program, as it was counted as the 600th win in program history.
