Mr. Pistner’s sixth period Construction System class was asked to build five stands for Kindergarten classes at the Clearfield Elementary School. The project was put into action when Mrs. Hoover was informed that the Kindergartners could not reach the Smartboards in their classrooms, which led to the Smartboards not being used. She then thought: Why not build something for them so they could reach them?

After talking it over, Mr. Pistner’s students set out to build the stands. They used 2 by 4 plywood to construct the stands with the help of other equipment and tools. When asked what his favorite part about building the stands was Trevor Hoffman stated, “Just being able to build something for the kids.” The stands were delivered to the Elementary School Friday, October 13.
