The track and field season began on Monday, March 7, with preparation for their first meet. Head coach Mr. Caragein and his athletes are ready and hoping for another successful season

The Bison return 17 letter winners from last season, 5 boys including Will Domico, Karson Kline, Tyler Olson, Isaac Samsel, and Caleb Wilt, and 12 girls including Danna Bender, Lydia Brown, Prudence Corrigan, Jaylee Gill, Megan Hamm, Taylor Hudson, Lindsey Kerlin, Emily McCracken, Scarlett Singleton, Elle Smith, Cayleigh Walker, Alayna Winters. With a large group returning, Coach Caragein’s goal is to win the Mountain League with both his male and female athletes.

The first meet will be a home quad meet competing against Bald Eagle, Bellefonte, and DuBois on March 23. Fans should feel welcome to attend as Coach Caragein shares that fan attendance should not be affected by COVID-19 since it is an outdoor sport. He also believes COVID-19 won’t affect athletes’ training much, if at all.
