The CAJSHS art and craft students recently made scarecrows in conjunction with the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation.  Nearly 80 students were involved in this project.

Mrs. Adams’ Basic Art Classes and Ms. Nowak’s craft class put together the scarecrows. The students got materials to make/ outfit their creations from the help of Goodwill or from their own personal collection.

This project started way back in the first week of school and wrapped up the last week of September. The scarecrows are displayed in downtown Clearfield this fall. This is the second year the CRC has sponsored a scarecrow contest.  As part of the contest, the scarecrows were displayed around downtown Clearfield for the annual Fall Fest and Pumpkin Run.

If you’d like to participate in next year’s contest, sign up for Basic Art or Craft Class next year while enrolling in classes. Visit downtown Clearfield to see all the scarecrows scattered around town.
