The competition season has finally arrived for The Dance Company. After months of preparation, the girls are ready to get out on the stage and show off their talents. When asking dancer Zoie Sidorick what she is most excited for this season, she responded, “I am most excited to travel to various cities with some of my closest friends and compete the dances we have been working on for months now!” This year The Dance Company will be attending the following dance competitions: Jump and Star Bound in Pittsburgh, and Encore and Headliners in Johnstown. In the month of February, they will be attending Jump, which also has an intensive workshop that goes along with the competition and Encore. Zoie will be competing three contemporary numbers, two jazz numbers, and one lyrical number while other groups from The Dance Company will compete some hip hop dances. The titles of her dances are “Seven,” “Iris,” “Feeling Good,” “Vegas,” “Fall Into Me,” and “No Turning Back.” Needless to say, Zoie will be very busy this competition season.

The Dance Company has continued to improve over the years as they further compete against big rival schools of dance. Zoie is hoping that their dances place first in their specific categories. In particular, she hopes that her dances “Iris,” “Seven,” and “No Turning Back” place in the top five overall. She also reveals that winning special judges’ awards is a goal for the studio and something they look forward to every year. Overall, this year seems to be a huge year for The Dance Company, with an extensive number of dances for them this year. After all the hard work they have put in, they are ready to pull out a win!
