It is now April, and everyone knows what means: Easter time! Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, it is a good time to get into spring cheer. With the weather getting warmer and the grass getting greener, it is impossible to not find some sort of happiness in the spring. One way to get into the spirit is to watch movies related to the time of year, but how will you know what to watch? I have taken it upon myself to find a movie recommendation for everyone to enjoy, and I think the perfect spring movie is “Hop!”

“Hop” is a partially animated partially live-action adventure comedy that can be watched on streaming services such as Amazon, Peacock, or Vudu. It is rated PG, and it is an extremely family-friendly film. “Hop” follows the tale of the Easter Bunny’s teenage son, E.B. This young rabbit is supposed to succeed his father, but instead he runs away to Hollywood to pursue his dreams of becoming a drummer. On his way, E.B. is hit by a car driven by Fred O’Hare, a slacker in desperate need of a job, and E.B. persuades Fred to take him in as he “recovers.” As E.B. hides from his fathers royal guards, he works to start his music career, but when trouble arises on Easter Island, E.B. must decide to continue his new life or go back and help those he loves.

I found this movie to be cute and entertaining, even if some moments were a bit cringey. The plot that reminds children to follow their dreams and stay loyal to those who help you is a much-needed message. If you just want an easy to watch Easter movie, then this is definitely for you. I think it is worth a watch!
