Q: How long have you been involved in Boy Scouts, and what inspired you to join?
A: “I’ve been a part of Boy Scouts since I was in kindergarten. I was always intrigued by the idea of learning skills like knots, maps, and various outdoor abilities.”
Q: What are some of the skills you’ve learned in scouting?
A: “In Scouts, I acquired skills like first aid, fire building, map and compass use, knots and lashings, wilderness survival, and more.”
Q: Can you share a memorable camping or outdoor adventure you’ve had with your troop?
A: “The most memorable moments are the ones spent with friends in the woods, not being bothered by anyone or anything and being completely immersed in the natural surroundings. It’s just you, the woods, and the campfire.”
Q: What badges or awards have you earned, and which one are you most proud of?
A: “I’ve earned a total of 50 merit badges, but my most cherished achievement was attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.”
Q: How has being a Boy Scout influenced your personal growth and character development?
A: “Being a Boy Scout has played a big role in shaping my character and personal growth. It made me a better person and leader overall.”
Q: What leadership roles have you taken on within your troop?
A: “I’ve served as Patrol Leader, Scribe, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.”
Q: What’s your favorite part of the Scout Oath and Law, and how do you apply it in your life?
A: “My favorite part of the oath is ‘to do your best,’ and I particularly appreciate the principles of being courteous and kind, which we get reminded about often.”
