The Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate chip recipe is a famous cookie recipe, that is a very easy recipe to follow. I had a fun time making it and all the directions were easy and simple to follow. The only thing I have struggled with is over beating the mix when adding the flour mixture. I think it is a great recipe for any beginner baker!
Serving size: 5 dozen cookies
Prep/ cook time: 24 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (two sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups of Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
- Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Make little round balls of the cookie dough on the baking sheet pan (if size is bigger than a tablespoon, it may take more time to cook).
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until you believe it’s done; a good way to tell is if it is a golden-brown color.
- Cool on baking sheet. Serve and enjoy!
