Recently, I used the new Wicked cake pop kit by Betty Crocker to make cookie dough cake pops for the Halloween season. This is a special mix because it is a “mix to reveal,” so it is a mystery to what color each person gets.
For this recipe, you will need:
· Cake pop mix (included in box)
· Chocolate wafers (included in box)
· Pop sticks (included in box)
· Sprinkles (included in box)
· 2 TBSP. of butter (melted)
· 1 TBSP. of water
First, combine the mix, water, and butter in a bowl until you get a dough consistency. This is the fun part because it will reveal which color you got. We got pink!
Next, roll the dough into eight balls. The recipe recommends making them 1 Tbsp each.
After you have your cookie dough rolled, you will then melt your chocolate wafers in the microwave. The recipe said 45 seconds, but ours took a little longer than it called for.
After the chocolate is melted, it is ready to be dipped in! Grab a fork and place the ball into the chocolate, gently mix it around until covered, and then place it on your parchment paper.
Quickly after, dip one side of the pop stick into the chocolate and poke it into the cookie dough ball.
Lastly, garnish the cake pop with the sprinkles included in the box. Let the chocolate harden, and then enjoy!
