In this article I would like to recommend specific trails for newer members of the ski club to try out. The level of difficulty ranges from green circle, blue square, and finally black diamond.
Morning Star
Morning Star is a smooth slope that splits off into different sections. The steepness of the slope is exactly right and has multiple jumps that go on the sides. It’s a good trail for intermediate skiers as it is a blue level trail, just be careful of the drop at the end of the slope.
Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras is one of the longest slopes on the mountain and is great for just starting out. It is not too steep and goes the entire length of the mountain. This is one of the most populated slopes though as it is in the middle of the resort. It is great for beginner-intermediate skiers and is a blue level trail.
Foxfire
Foxfire is very steep and good to get a lot of speed going down. It is smooth as well, making it a nice slope to go down. I rarely see people go down as it is one of the more overwhelming black diamonds level to go on. I would recommend this to more advanced skiers just because of how steep it gets.
Champagne
This slope is great for gaining speed and even trying tricks. It is not too steep for the most part and cuts into a flat circular area that a lot of other trails also lead into. It is an extremely fun trail to go on many times and not too challenging either. Skiers who are intermediate should go on this even though it is a black diamond level trail. But, make sure you know how to handle slight jumps.
North Wind
North wind is another long trail, like Mardi Gras but with some jumps and is a little less steep. It has many cuts and turns as well and is easy to get lost going down. It is another very populated trail because it is next to Mardi Gras in the middle. I would recommend that beginners-intermediate go down this green level trail.
In conclusion, these are the trails I would personally recommend, but all trails are good at Holiday valley.
