Every year around Christmas break the library staff allows students to sing away their fines. This tradition has been going on for about 10 years, according to the school librarian Mrs. Brady. The best part? If a group of students go, the students that don’t have any fines are singing away someone else’s fines. Last year, about $600 in fines were sang away. This year, 372 students sang, some multiple times, and $517 in fines were forgiven. A total of 217 students sang away fines for others though only 176 fines needed abolished.
