Choir Participates in Experience the Arts
January 12, 2018
On December 21 in the Junior-Senior High Auditorium, the choir held its annual concert as part of Experience the Arts. Approximately 250 students participated in this concert and were joined by community members and the band for the finale.
The pieces performed included Bethlehem Procession by Pepper Choplin, Glow by Eric Whitacre, Angels in Seven by Philip Kern, Caroling Caroling by Alfred Burt, O What A Pretty Little Baby by Susan Gardener, and A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson.
According to Mr. Rothrock, director: “Choir students gain a valuable experience performing on a stage for an audience.” Personally, performing in the most recent and past choir concerts I feel not only is it a wonderful experience it grows confidence and feels fantastic to make music with such wonderful people.
