On Friday, May 11, the senior class took a trip to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. for the day where they were given the opportunity to visit many of the famous monuments and landmarks in the city as well as freely tour several of the museums at their leisure.

Among the sites visited were the Vietnam Wall, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial, and the National World War II Memorial.

The last noteworthy point on the itinerary was to visit Arlington National Cemetery where a wreath was presented at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by seniors Wyatt Porter, Katrina Spencer, and Erica Hanes in the name of the senior class.
