On Wednesday, Oct. 17, Mrs. Carr took her wildlife class and FFA members to the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette, Pennsylvania.

The students learned about the history of elk in Pennsylvania, participated in educational activities to learn about elk, watched a 4D show, had time to explore the visitor center, and even saw a few elk along the way. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions about Pennsylvania’s wilds and about the native elk that roamed the land, and the elk that live there now.

The day was a great learning experience for students interested in the agricultural and wildlife fields. Students gained a first-hand view into the world of wildlife in Pennsylvania, and they learned about the agricultural resources it takes to run the Elk Country Visitor Center.
