The 2018-2019 swim season is starting mandatory practices Nov. 16, according to Coach Morrison. The first meet is Dec. 7 at Huntingdon. The complete schedule is on the Clearfield School District website.

Coach says: “I am excited to see improvement at all ability levels throughout the season and great swims at Districts and States. I have the utmost respect for all of my swimmers and divers and for the amount of commitment and hard work they put into their sports.”

How does Coach think the season will go? “Two factors will determine our level of success: Consistent attendance and consistent quality of work. If we get that, we will be successful as a team.”

“We have 10 returning letter winners for the ladies squad and 8 returning letter winners for the men’s,” said Coach, adding: “There are some new swimmers and divers this year and we welcome them to our team. The coaches are looking forward to helping them improve throughout the season.”

Finally, in considering the potential for individual athletes, Coach added: “There are many swimmers and divers that could be impact athletes for us this winter but again, it will depend on their attendance, commitment, and work ethic as to how fast they can get or how well they dive.”
