The Super Bowl is the Championship Game in the NFL, and the final game of the NFL season. Ironically, this year’s Super Bowl could have possibly been the worst game of  the season.

Super Bowl LIII was contested between the New England Patriots, and the Los Angeles Rams. The Los Angeles Rams got to the Super Bowl by posting a 13-3 regular season record, and won the NFC West. The New England Patriots posted an 11-5 regular season record and won the AFC East.

The Super Bowl took place in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The half-time headliners were Maroon 5, Big Boi, and Travis Scott. Atlanta Native Gladys Knight sang the National Anthem. Beatrice King, daughter of famous social rights activist Martin Luther King Jr, did the coin toss.

The Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII with the Patriots winning their sixth Super Bowl. Patriots Wide Receiver Julian Edelman won Super Bowl MVP with 10 catches, and 141 receiving yards.

A Super Bowl Record was broken in the Super Bowl as Johnny Hekker, a punter for the Rams, had a 65 yard punt. The points for the Patriots came from two Stephen Gostkowski field goals and a Sony Michel rushing touchdown. The point sfor the Rams came from a Greg Zuerlein field goal.

New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady passed for 262 yards and Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Jared Goff passed for 229 yards, which is decent, but neither quarterback threw a single touchdown. Cory Littleton led the Rams in tackles with six, and Jonathan Jones led the Patriots with six tackles also.

In the end, this was a horrible Super Bowl, and in my opinion the second or third worst Super Bowl since the millennium. Both the Rams and the Patriots did very well on defense, but their offense was downright horrible. This was the lowest scoring game in Super Bowl history with only 16 points between the two teams.
