The religion-based club Fellowship of Christian Athletes recently hosted the annual event See You at The Pole at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. The gathering occurred on Sept. 25 at 7 a.m and lasted until 7:30.

See You at the Pole is an event held at schools around the globe. It is a time when students, faculty, and community members alike join together to pray for whatever they feel necessary.

Guest Speaker Anthony Caiols of Tri-County Church ministers to the attendees.

Mrs. Bookhamer, the club’s advisor, opened the gathering with a brief welcome message and explained the purpose of this day. After, Mr. Chelednik led the group in a time of worship, as he played his guitar and sang. Mrs. Bookhamer then introduced Anthony Caiols, a local pastor at Tri-County-Church, to minister to the group. He gave an empowering message on how we as people need to find ourselves and not conform to what others want us to be.

The Fellowship of Christian athletes will also be hosting other events throughout the school year, such as the annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament alongside of Baccalaureate, a religion-based celebration of Graduation.
