Lady Bison Basketball season starts

Lady Bison Basketball has begun its 2019-20 season. Taking on their last year as seniors are McLain Alt and Tesa Miller, who are also captains of the team.

The Lady Bison Basketball team started the season at a tournament playing against North Clarion taking a loss 8-48. They continued the tournament playing Clarion-Limestone, also getting defeated 37-40. Their next game was their first home game where they played Bald Eagle Area losing 38-47. Next, the Lady Bison took on Huntingdon getting defeated 20-67. Playing against Philipsburg-Osceola they won 59-40. Next, against Tyrone, they lost 44-61. The Lady Bison won against Curwensville 49-16. Their most recent game was against Punxsutawney losing 27-48.

At the conclusion of these games, the leading scorers, not in order, were as follows: Megan Durandetta, Emma Hipps, Olivia Bender, Kylie VanTassel, and Tesa Miller. Although the Lady Bison have only won two games thus far, they are still positive about the rest of the season. Sophomore Emma Hipps says: “Even though we started the season out rough, we are trying to stay positive so we can play our best in future games.” Freshman Abby Ryan agrees by saying: “We are working our hardest to become the best team we can be.” Senior and captain, McLain Alt said: “We need to keep working hard and will see good things happen if we keep working.”
