School Community Joins in Day of Global Prayer

Father Kleckner from St. Francis Church was the guest speaker at See You at the Pole.

The school’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes invited the school community to “See You at the Pole” on Sept. 27. Approximately 40 students, parents, faculty and staff met at the flagpole at the high school to take part in a global day of student prayer held at 7 a.m.

Mrs. Bookhamer, FCA adviser, welcomed the group and noted that Clearfield was joining other schools who were hosting the same event at the same time across the nation. This year’s theme is “Fix Our Eyes” from Hebrews 12:2.

Guest speaker Father Brandon Kleckner of St. Francis Parish, Clearfield, provided a brief message about prayer and building one’s relationship with God. Guitarist Logan Stover, a junior, led the group in singing “Come as You Are” and “Revelation Song”. Prayer circles concluded the event.
