Boy’s Basketball set for a November 20 tip-off

The Clearfield boys’ basketball season tips off on November 20th!  Coach Glunt shared his thoughts and expectations for this upcoming season. He said their main goal is to improve everyday as basketball players. Coach Glunt also added the players have been working very hard all off season.

He explained how a lot of players had fall sports, so they couldn’t come to off season workouts. He is excited to get all his player’s back at the official start of the season. Coach Glunt said there are a lot of players to look out for this year, he stated “We have a lot of seniors and returning letterman coming back from last year as well a few younger players who we are excited about.  The seniors are Karson Rumsky, Matt Pallo, Luke Winters, Nick Ryan, Curvey Purkett, Jake Lezzer and Ryan Geppert.  The other players who could potentially get varsity playing time are Ryan Gearhart, Isakk Way, Nasheed Thompson, Cole Miller, Morgen Billotte, Andon Greslick and Luke Pallo.”

As much as we may not like it, player safety is huge this year. Coach Glunt explained what he is doing to keep his players safe especially during this winter sport. He stated “Our team follows the health and safety recommendations provided by the school and we will also follow any guidelines set by the PIAA when we compete this season.
