On Wednesday, February 3, the Lady Bison Basketball seniors were recognized at their home game against Curwensville held in the Bison gym. Our Lady Bison were able to defeat the Golden Tide 62-33, with junior Emma Hipps being the leading scorer with 13 points.

Seniors Allison Gaines, Paige Rhine, and Megan Durandetta were all able to take their parents arms and be recognized for their hard work on both the basketball court and in the classroom.

Each senior made a comment to conclude her senior year. Starting with Paige Rhine, she expressed her gratitude for her teammates by saying: “Playing with my team the past few years has been an amazing experience. They picked me up when I was down and pushed me to play to the best of my abilities. I would not have wanted to play with any other group of girls.”

Next, Megan Durandetta explained her appreciation for the game: “Basketball has been a really rewarding experience. Basketball has pushed me to set goals, such as my goal for three-pointers, and taught me how to work hard to achieve them.”

Lasty, Ally Gaines commented on senior recognition by saying: “Senior night was definitely an amazing celebration for the last four years of hard work. I have gotten the chance to make new friends and create bonds with the team that I would have never had without basketball. Playing basketball for Clearfield is an experience that I will remember for years to come.”

These ladies will continue their season until the end of February, to see their schedule follow the link below.
