There are a couple new staff of the CASJHS this year and I got the honor to interview the new nurse Mrs.Yingling, I asked her a few questions.

I asked Mrs. Yingling why she was interested in the job. She says she was interested in the job because she had worked in pediatrics for six years and enjoyed it. “I feel I connect with pediatric patients,” Mrs. Yingling says. And the job happened to be closer to her home. Mrs. Yingling is from Houtzdale, not to far from the school at all.

I had also asked Mrs. Yingling when she had figured out that she wanted to work in the medical field. She told me she really enjoys helping other and has always liked the idea of working in the medical field, she took a liking to anatomy and psychology and was originally in college to be a gym teacher.
Mrs.Yingling looks up to her mother, she says her mother is strong, loving, caring and supportive, and says her mother would do anything for other people I need. “She is positive, and I really try my best to be positive like her” quotes Yingling. She considers herself as a kind, worrisome and generous person.

Mrs. Yingling went to CCCTC and got her LPN license, then her associates degree in nursing at PSU and this year she will be graduating with her master’s degree from Eastern University. And the last and final thing I had to ask was if she had anything she wanted you all to know. “I really enjoy finding/digging up old bottles from the late 1800s/early 1900s, also known as “Privy digging.” I enjoy wood burning in the winter months and I love to play bingo. Also, my dream job would have been to be a forensic nurse, but that’s a hard gig to find around here. Lastly, I love spending time with my dogs Ruby and Royal and my husband, Alex.”
