The Homecoming King and Queen were announced on September 23, 2022. The King was chosen by a cupcake at the pep rally and the queen would be determined by a red rose at the football game. At the first pep rally back after COVID-19, Cole Miller chose the red cupcake which would make him the 2022 Homecoming King. Later that evening, at the football game against Penn’s Valley, the girls on the Homecoming Court picked their roses. Nicolette Maines chose the red rose at the football game declaring her the Queen.

The boys on the Homecoming Court included Luke Billotte, Morgen Billotte, Zachary Krager, Gavin Lukens, Mason Lumadue, Cole Miller, Mitchell Rowles, and Isaac Samsel. The girls on the Homecoming Court consisted of Alazay Clark, Madi Evans, Olivia Graham, Mckenna Lanager, Nicolette Maines, Emma Quick, Abby Ryan, and Elle Smith.

“I was very surprised. I had to stand there for a couple seconds, staring at the rose, because I couldn’t believe it!” Nicolette states. Nicolette also adds that being on the Homecoming Court is an honorable representation of the school, and she will remember this experience forever.

Nicolette’s favorite part was being on the court with the other girls. “I am really good friends with all of the girls, and it was so fun getting to do the pep rally together, eating together beforehand, and more,” she claims.

“I think my favorite part of the homecoming experience was being around the other people on the court. I’ve grown up with these people, and I was totally proud to represent the class of 2023 with the great personalities of everyone there,” said Cole.

Cole was also very surprised by his win. He described, “I was extremely happy to be elected by my classmates for sure. I’m definitely grateful for everyone who voted for me, and I’m blessed to be around such a great group of classmates.”
