All About Senior Spirit Week

Rylee Charles, Staff Writer

During the week of October 17-21, our school held a spirit week for the upcoming senior night games and pep rally.

To get this spirit week in order, Student Council members had met and discussed the themes, then got them approved by administration.

The first spirit day theme was “Post-Secondary Goals.” This could include dressing up for the future career you would like to pursue. You could have also worn your favorite/future college’s merchandise. Mostly everyone wore a college shirt that day.

The second spirt day theme was “Dress like a ‘Senior’ citizen.” People wore cardigans, trousers, sweater vests, long dresses, and slippers. Some accessorized themselves with pearls and glasses.

The third spirit day theme was “Extracurricular Day.” You could have dressed up in a jersey, sports gear, club apparel, band merchandise, or theater shirts. A lot of students dressed up in the gear of the sports they played.

The fourth spirit day theme was “Throwback Thursday.” You got to dress like you use to in elementary school. Some ideas to dress according to the theme were to wear bows, neon, dresses, and sparkles. It looked like everyone was in 3rd grade again!

The final day of spirit week was “Color Wars.” I thought this day was very neat! Seniors dressed up in all red, juniors in blue, sophomores in green, and freshman in yellow. Friday was also the pep rally where each grade got to scream and see who was the loudest. The seniors were victorious.

The day that most people dressed up for was a tie between “Post-Secondary Goals” and “Color Wars.”

Take the poll and tell us what your favorite day was!
