Although Christmas is coming up and everyone is looking forward to that, I’m still thinking about how good my Thanksgiving meals were. I had one for my mom’s side and one for my dad’s side, and although both were delicious, only one can have the title of “Best Thanksgiving Meal”. This year instead of going to my dad’s parents’ house 11- 4 then going to my mom’s parents’ house, we only had my mom’s side to attend on Thanksgiving Day. My plate here consisted of baked corn, baked pineapple, mashed potatoes, noodles, turkey, two rolls, and a little bit of green bean casserole. Each item has its pros and cons but all together it was just as awe-striking as it always is. My dessert consisted of a slice of pumpkin cheesecake and apple pie. I give this meal a 9.2/10. It was not only delicious, but I got to enjoy the tasty food with people I love.

The following Saturday, November 26th, was Thanksgiving dinner with my dad’s side. This time my plate only consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, and one roll. The turkey and roll were good, but the mashed potatoes were kind of runny and bland. The pumpkin pie was good, but they didn’t have any whipped cream for it which was disappointing. I gave this meal an over all score of 6.4/10 when taking into consideration the food quality and the atmosphere that I was eating in.

I am now looking forward to my Christmas celebrations. Christmas always has a wider variety of foods than Thanksgivings with my family. I am excited to see what the future holds for my food endeavors and how they will match up with these meals.
